I really enjoy looking at your web site and watching the flame!
The Hamilton clan from Duluth hopes to be down in Evansville
later this year. Why? A family reunion with brother Bill (Minden, NV, and
sister Ann (Hamilton) and Jerry Moore.
Hi to everyone at Methodist Temple and a Happy Easter to all
from the Duluth Hamilton's and Lester Park UMC.

Very nice web site for an East side church!
Perhaps I'll get to visit some day, or sing in the choir. Give everyone my best!

Congratulations, Methodist Temple, on a fine web page. I
grew up attending the Methodist Temple, and am delighted to see that I can still keep in
touch with what's happening.

I see your college care package idea in the March issue.
My daughter goes to college at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. They have a
Christian ministry group near the school that provides a $12 care package for semester-end
study time (or whatever donation parents want to give). They get volunteers and
donations to pack the bags. They send a form letter to all the parents living on
campus stating the purpose and that it is not the commercial packages.
I think it is a good idea for a money earning project or a
service project. The parents can put a note in the bag also. You could start
with the students of your congregation. Now that she moved off campus, we don't get
this letter or offer any more. It would be nice to offer bags to these students
also.
My son goes to a college close to home and they don't offer the
same thing, but instead housing offers a more commercialized package at a much higher
price.
Having a college close to a church is ideal for these type of
projects. I was much more comfortable donating money to the Christian ministry than
a housing office.
Just some more ideas for you.
(note-I am from Evansville and attended/attend this church when
in town. I check this web site frequently. You have a great site and improving
every time I check in. Also attended U of E living at home way back in the 70's. A
care package sounds like a great idea-would make one feel more a part of campus life and
help those that attend your church now.)

Neat web site. Sounds like a very exciting place
with good things going on. Will it help us to get to heaven?

It was fun to see the Temple Airs picture on the website.
I am awfully proud of this group and what they've done for the Evansville area,
especially since my grandfather (Dr. Ray Arensman) played such an integral role starting
up the band. In fact, it was his suggestion that I browse through your website;
I didn't realize their schedule was posted on the web.

This is a wonderful site. I can't believe technology allows us
to hear the sermons even while at college. The youth program looks like it is really
rockin'!! Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed looking around. Particularly enjoyed the
photos - they really bring life to your web-page.
Please know that persons, many I suspect, appreciate and
utilize this excellent resource of your church. I am a senior pastor at Zionsville
UMC near Indianapolis. Visit our site at ZUMC.org .
Keep up the great work!

The entire Methodist Temple Web-Site is very well done. I have
utilized the large photo of the Remembrance Garden as background wallpaper. It makes
a very attractive full-size background. Hope this is o.k. with you.
Good Job.

I like the youth program and the way it works, keep it up!

Your website is the most complete and interesting one I've seen by a church.
Makes me long for the days again when we were part of the Temple. I was quite
interested in the clicks on Leadership and those on the Pastors. I spent some time
scanning their sermons, and then in seeing the names of so many of my good friends who are
still active in the Leadership group. Thanks for your help with the pictures.

Just wanted you to know you have a wonderful web site. We're always
looking for ideas to help motivate the members of our campus organization. The
"Barnabas" program sounds like a lot of fun. We may try it.
God bless and continue to do the work of the Lord. Please put our
ministry in your prayers.

I just found the pictures of the garden this morning. They are
wonderful and look so inviting. Thank you for making our web page so attractive and
up to date.

Hi, Jenny, just thought you'd like to know that I checked out the website.
It really is complete.
 | March 1999, Louisiana: |
You have one of the best designed pages, I have yet seen!
I am a United Methodist minister, looking for ideas as I develop my own church
page. I hope you don't mind my "borrowing" some of your design as well as
some of the images you are using. It is just an awesome web page done in real good
taste. Keep up the good work!

I have a question I hope you can help me answer. Was there a Methodist
Home For Unwed Mothers in Evansville in 1964? I am adopted and searching for my
birth parents. My adoptive parents said that they went through the church but have
no records as our home burned when I was young and everything was destroyed. Any
help you could provide would be great. Please drop me a line. I really don't expect
you to give me all the answers (though that would make this easier) would you please
answer the question about the home. Thank you for your Help. God Bless.

permission to include his name and email address: Stephen Thomas, smtpap@cableone.net )

I really enjoy your web site. Very well done and easy to read. I
grew up in Evansville and attended MT until I moved away. My Mother is still a
member. I enjoy reading about the activities you are doing. Helps me keep up
with old friends and acquaintances in Evansville. By the way, I used to help out
with a Girl Scout troop that met at the church and the leaders went to the church.
(Still there?) Just curious.

I visited the Methodist Temple website and it is very impressive.
 | February 1999, Bloomington, IN: |
Every time I check out Temple's web page it looks better and
better. I love having the Temple Topics on there. It helps me keep up with
some old friends in a real easy way. Just wanted to thank you for your efforts in
getting it going. It is a great way for those who were once at the church to keep up
with things.

The arrangement is so very logical, and the material is so
interesting and provides a good picture to newcomers and old-timers alike. Thanks
for a great job.

Hi Jenny: A beautiful, educational page. Thanks for
taking the time and having the knowledge to do this for our church!

THANKS for the work you are doing on our web site! I
discovered it a couple of weeks ago after going on line at the end of December and had
been thinking earlier about the fact that we did not have one. It is great that you
are doing this!

I was glad to see a Methodist Church doing a Bread Ministries
program. I am just starting one at our church, and am interested if you have any
information I might read regarding this type ministry. I also would like to know if
you bake the bread yourselves or if you purchase it?

I've been browsing our MT web page and I am so impressed with what
you have added. I found all the pictures of our windows and pictures of Tony and
Pat. What an impressive piece of work on your part. Thanks so much

Directory with email addresses is a neat feature! You're
doing a great job with the MT home page!

Congratulations on a truly great church web site. One of
the best I have seen, and I have seen hundreds.
You have done it all just right. No clutter, no mess, no
under construction signs, just good clean copy, clearly indexed so all that valuable
information can be easily accessed by those who want to see it.
Your web site projects an image of a beautiful church, a
very capable and talented staff and an active congregation. I would hope you have
plans to add a few pictures to bear that out.
All best wishes. You certainly have a winner.
