The Lost

The Lost Sheep   (Luke 15:1-7)
The shepherd, with the sheep on his shoulders which was lost, returns home to the flock of ninety-nine which was left behind.

Two of his friends and neighbors are shown rejoicing with him.

[Jesus says, "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over the ninety-nine righteous persons who do not repent.] NIV Bible

The Lost Coin (Luke 15:8-10)
A woman lights a lamp, sweeps her house, and searches until she finds the one lost silver coin out of ten.

Two of her friends and neighbors are shown rejoicing with her.

[Jesus says, "I tell you there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."] NIV Bible

The Lost Son (Luke 15:11-31)
The prodigal son is shown squandering his inheritance in riotous living.

During a famine he feeds pigs in a field and is shown longing to eat with the pigs.

With his older brother looking on, the young son repents to his father.

[The older son is angry over the celebration which follows.  The father says, "My son, you are always with me.   But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found."] NIV Bible
